Le Tsape - Reservar uma mesa

Once we had eaten at Le Tsapé, we didn't want to go anywhere else; it really is a cut above other mountain restaurants we have tried. The food is properly good, there are the usual pasta and polenta dishes, well-prepared and copious, but also a...choice of home-made soups, and dishes such as the braised local beef with truffle mashed potatoes and the daily special we tried, both served with beautifully prepared vegetables, which are seriously good and wouldn't be out of place in any good restaurant. Prices are no higher than the usual Swiss mountain fare, and the generous helpings and quality of ingredients are worth it. The staff are very friendly and take pride in presenting the food nicel...

Wir waren am 11.März im Le Tsapé zum Mittagessen und bestellten die Hausspezialität "Elefantenohren/oreilles d'éléphant", einem grossen Truthahschnitzel mit Pommes und Gemüse sowie den Spaghettiteller mit Pilzen. Dazu tranken wir einen offenen Dôle (Rotwein) Das Essen war mittelmässig, die Pommes ungesalzen und trocken.Da es Selbstbedienung war kann man nur die Kassiererin und Buffetleute beurteilen.Sie machten ihren Job soweit ordentlich.Als Ski-"Beiz" können wir das Restaurant empfehlen es hat eine traumhaft Aussicht auf die Walliseralpen inkl. Matterhorn.

I visted this restaurant at today. I was with eight people who waited outside while I checked what the menu was like. The person I spoke to was so unfriendly and unpleasant that I decided to eat elsewhere. And I won't take the group...there for the rest of my visit (until Saturday). To the mananger of this restaurant: people have a choice. We don't have to eat in your place. If you're unpleasant and unwelcoming we'll go elsewhere.

Nous nous sommes fiés aux avis précédents pour y manger.Bien accueilli, mais sans plus: sans vouloir être pénible le pain de la croûte fromage était brûlé et bof...Le plat du jour: orignal de servir des röstis en forme de vol au vent avec sauce aux champignons. Une assiette valaisanne qui reste une assiette valaisanne. Superbe vue mais un repas sans plus... dommage !!!Nous ne retournerons pas dans ce restaurant.

Stunning views all around. A long but fairly easy hour walk from Chandolin. Lots of mountain plants to discover along the way.
