Le Voltaire - Reservar uma mesa

It was hard to find anywhere open in Langeac on a Saturday night in April, so we were glad to find La Voltaire was serving with a reasonably priced menu. Felt they were trying too hard with entrees called Tiramisu cucumber and Creme brûlée tomato. The cucumber was nice but could have had anything in the sauce. Three choices for main course chicken, veal with cepe sauce and polenta, ray a deadly dull fish in my estimation) with steamed veg. I was glad the veal was not breaded and the polenta which can be bland was tasty. Lovely service and nice ambiance but not the best meal we've had in the area.

When visiting Langeac, my wife and I spontaneously decided to eat in Le Voltaire for lunch. We were greeted very warmly and received an excellent explanation of the menu that kept them very small. We liked to specialize their philosophy on just a few dishes, but to change them regularly and cook as much as possible with local ingredients. After our meal, the chef came by and discussed her philosophy with us and even shared some of her secrets ... Not only the food was great, but also the overall experience: how to visit a restaurant.

We arrived in a thunderstorm on a Saturday evening in August and the beautiful waitress matched us. We ate an amazing 3 course menu of the day for 20E. Children's menu was 12.5E with a choice. Traditional French cuisine, deliciously cooked. Small with not many tables, so it would continue to book.

Excellent value for money. Short but interesting and unusual menu. Friendly and efficient service. I agree with the latest reviews in French. A great find on a Sunday evening when Langeac is a little culinary desert.

Very enjoyed our meal here. Large burger, very generous portion and very good quality meal. Friendly helpful service and all cartridges seemed satisfied with their choices.
