L'Enclos Du Puy Mary

We spent a week in Mandailles at L'Enclos du Puy-Mary. The aim was to walk in the area. We stayed at the small and charming hotel and just wish to come back. Maybe even in winter time. Both Michele and Sylvie helped in planning our daily walks and we had the best time ever. We normally walk in the alps, but this is a great alternative. The food was perfect and Sylvie even made special dishes to my husband who does not like cheese. Thank you for a pleasent and just perfect stay.

C'est dans un petit village au pied du Puy Mary que nous avons découvert ce magnifique hôtel et ces hôtes d'une grande gentillesse. Nous y avons goûté des produits du terroir et beaucoup de "fait-maison", pour le plus grand bonheur de nos papilles. Nous recommandons les yeux fermés cet endroit idéal pour les amoureux de la nature, à la recherche de calme et de chaleur. Merci beaucoup pour votre accueil et nous espérons très vite revenir !!

As the only residents during our stay we were looked after really well. Lovely room (for this is also a hotel and spa) with a balcony view of the old church and other old houses. Beautiful area with stunning views and after a bit of hiking a good soak in the jacuzzi and a sauna was most welcome. Home cooked local specialities went down nicely with reasonably priced good selection of wines available. Loved it!

Sylvie and Michel were outstanding hosts for our stay of a few days for a walking holiday in the area. Always available with advice before our excursions and fresh citron presse or whatever we wanted at the end they created an atmosphere of friendly comfort. Good breakfasts and generous hearty dinners of local ingredients l’enclos easily deserves our 5 star rating.

Excellent hospitality in this perfect base for our walks in the Cantal. Sound advice about where to go, delicious hearty food from the region. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Sylvia and Michel were the ideal hosts.
