Les Arts - Reservar uma mesa

We were in Saint Denis, way out of central Paris at the end of the Metro line, specifically to see the nearby Basilica which we had been aware of for decades. Our visit lasted longer than expected and we got hungry by about 2.30. There are a handful of other cafes/ brasseries but we liked the look of the chalkboard outside this one, although the tinted windows meant taking a chance on the staff and clientele inside. We were ushered to a nice window table by a charming waiter and settled down. There was no printed menu and an elderly graphic artist at the next table suggested the restaurant had recently changed hands. Meal with some work colleagues. Although the manager is a bit surly, he chilled out and we enjoyed a terrific meal. Huge prawns in shells for starters which were excellent. 2 of us has Dorades fish which was perfect and 1 had entrecote steak apparently the best he’d ever eaten. Beer good, wine excellent, complimentary brandy shots a nice gesture. Highly recommended!

at the beginning mixed by the front of the restaurant but after a few minutes to chat with the bosses it is a very friendly place and the chef hafid knows his profession as a person I live in paris but I will return regularly for the atmosphere and food and especially the family spirit of the place. Good tasting to you!

Bravo for couscous, bravo for grilled meat, bravo for cataplana ;) thank you for the welcome, good mood...Fin gourmet I didn’t think I would find a place as warm and quali to Saint denis.
