I was a little nervous bc I've read some bad reviews but I was not disappointed. Shrimp and grits and the catfish plate were the main meal and we ordered one of each side to try. The jambalaya was good, nice spice. Gumbo had authentic creole flavor I think of when I hear the word, dirty rice was tasty, crab cakes were drizzled wth a great zesty creole sauce and the beignets topped it all off nicely. The shrimp and grits were different than I expected, more hearty than spicey like I've had at other places. I thought the red beans and rice needed more flavor and the beignets could use more plain powdered sugar, but they were served with a caramel and chocolate sauce and were still very good. E...
