Les Delices de la Roche

The setting is delightful. The garden at Les Delices is a calm and pleasant place for a lunch with old friends. It 's a little off the beaten track near the troglodyte village of Rochemenier and the small town of Doue-la-Fontaine. The Menu Decouverte offered good value and adequate choice for a three course meal which was well prepared and presented. Nothing exceptional but just as it should be and well supported by a local Vin Rose. One of our party, who has not yet adjusted to the exciting possibilities of French cuisine, was very happy with his Classic Burger while the rest of us eased through a lunch that evoked the flavours of the region rather well while staying well short of sublime.....

We enjoy the food, the service and the setting of this restaurant so much that we visited twice this holiday. The restaurant was very busy on the Saturday evening, yet we were well looked after. Some lovely choices on the menu, enough for all of us. The pintade was superb and the Irish Coffee dessert was lovely, although I needed to share it! Lunch a few days later was very relaxed in the garden.

Fantastic lunch best côté de beouf we have had in France. Noticed it advertised as a specialty when walking in no one else seemed to be eating it.They didn’t mention it on the menu, we asked for it amazing with a lovely bottle of Languedoc Red. yum.

We really enojyed our lunch in the outdoor area. The lunch special was great value for money 3 courses for less than €15. The quality and quantity of food served was excellent. Our kids loved the grounds and were able to play freely. A real gem

Under the trees in a lovely garden setting, Orange juice a small beer with a sharing platter of cheese hams and savory bread, bliss.We had just visited the troglodyte vllage this place is perfectly positioned on your way back to the carpark
