Les Platanes - Reservar uma mesa

We had lunch with my family at Les Platanes just after Christmas, a place which was highly recommended. Indeed we were not deceived. The food was well presented and executed. Compliment to the Chef! However, the staff's attitude is appalling. Coming from London where service and attention to details are two fundamental principles in deliving customer satisfaction, at Les Platanes nothing was even close to achieving this. We were coldly greeted and seated, the waitress shouting at my partner in order to get his attention to order his cheese, then getting the hump because she had to repeat the different cheeses on the board, the waiter hesitant in filling our wine glasses with the excuse that...

We've eaten here many times and have brought many people to dine with us, always having a memorable meal in their uber modern styled dining room. The restaurant was half full last night with a usual mix of German, Dutch, American and British diners who were all having a good time. However the serving staff, we were sorry to see, have completely changed, the new girls didn't seem to know the menu or their own wines but were pleasant and efficient. The meal was served on very hot plates as usual, so we think the same owner chef is still in the kitchen! We had fish and to finish off a Creme Brulee with fruit in the bottom, a fitting end to another winning meal.

A small hotel in an old farm house, The rooms are simple but nice as is the bathroom. It is a very location if you want to spend the night while traveling further south or east. It is a very quite location, but I would suggest to ask for a room on the backside as there is road in front of the hotel. The restaurant is excellent. It wise to make a reservation as non-guest also like to comeWe had a perfect dinner in the garden. Breakfast was not as it should be due to the COVID rules.

Good refined traditional regional cuisine. Excellent Canette des Dombes. Nice service. One could say that some dishes or wine should be served less cool. Maybe they were thinking of the heat of the day which had gone by dinner time?

Outdoor Dining, Still able to get good wine by the carafe. Great food don't miss the Poulet de Bresse if its on the menu Nothing to dislike
