I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough! It located in the village of Villeveque, in a beautiful location by the tree lined river Loir, with a car park adjacent, but sits by a very interesting old mill that is an art (sculpture gallery. The restaurant is fantastic, with indoor and out door seating, a wonderful menu (the escargot with a Gorgonzola sauce! , and the staff are so friendly! They speak English and we tried to speak French in return. Hilarious. We went there twice during our visit and would have no hesitation in going again if we are in the area. We were a party of 11 adults and 1 child for dinner. The manager served us with good humour and friendliness. We enjoyed excellent fish and ratatouille washed down with carafes of local wine. The atmosphere is simple but very friendly and you can't fault the view of the river. It is simple food at a reasonable price. Probably the best ratatouille I have ever eaten and this was just a side dish on the plate.

This restaurant is in a lovely location next to the old water mill on the river Loir at Villeveque. We have been a few times and always enjoyed it. We have been twice since the change of owners/managers and both times the food has been delicious. We would definitely go back.

Not posh but nice! Staff were friendly and spoke excellent English. Could eat either inside or out on patio. Food was really nice and local wine even better! Try Burger Maison

BEAUTIFUL food, as was the service. Beyond, amazing, incredible, a true joy. I shall remember my two trips here for a very long time!
