Une catastrophe.... rien au menu, le four en panne (?) alors on commande ce qu'il y a (il n'est que 20h). Entrée, assiette de charcuterie. Bref, 3 rondelles de saucisson, un morceau de pâté... pas de beurre, rien de bien folichon.... Le plat, viande grillée et surprise pour l'accompagnement, voici des tagliatelles, froides, sans sauce, ni beurre, rien... juste des pâtes qui collent.... ha si, un filet de vinaigre balsamique sur le rebord de l'assiette.... Dessert, pas grand choix, on ne prend pas de risque alors ça sera salade de fruits.... comme à la cantoche !Le tout servi avec une lenteur extrême.La table voisine a été moins patiente et s'en est allée.Bref, ce n'est pas un restaurant, c'e...
We went north through Aniane and stopped here for coffee. It was immediately served by a pleasant waitress. Coffee was good and what it should be. We came through town and thought for a late lunch. The 3 of us chose omelette du jour. It was a vegetable that day and excellent. Freshly cooked. The chips were hot directly from the pan crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The small salad served with was fresh and with a delicious dressing. The same waitress served us and smiled after their busy morning work still and pleasant.
We were recommended to try a particular restaurant in Aniane, but we arrived too early in the city so decided to sit and have a drink first in L'Esplanade. Then we made the stupid decision to stay and eat. Two very mediocre meals and an oversized bill later and we recognized our mistake. When we were asked the next day if we had visited the recommended restaurant and we said no, the lady's face said everything when we told her where she went.
