L'hospitalier - Reservar uma mesa

L'Hospitalier is located in one of the quieter town squares near the southern entrance into the town. Most people probably enter La Couvertoirade through the northern entrance, so it will probably be one of the last places you will see as you make your way around the village. We stopped by for a snack in the middle of the afternoon. Many of the restaurants were closed at the time, but L'Hospitalier was one of the few places open. We sat at one of the outdoor tables in the square along with about a half dozen other tourists who were mostly there for coffee or ice cream. This cafe with outdoor seating seemed like the perfect place for lunch. The menu was posted outside the cafe and offered several choices options. We sat at a table and waited for at least 10 minutes before someone came to the table to talk to us. They had a pizza/salad with a drink option on the chalkboard. We were informed that they no longer had pizza (usually someone erases items no longer available). We each ordered a salad. In the meantime, another party arrived . The server took their order almost immediately, which they received before our order arrived. They also were served pizza. Amazing, the hospitality was great and I felt at home!!!, the staff were very lovely and personable. As I don t speak French I was a bit apprehensive but they were very helpful and recommended the beat dishes. Can't fault it!!

This is a great little restaurant with very good home cooked food at fantastic prices. The aligot is marvelous and the cured ham every bit as good as the finest Serrano. all the deserts were good (yes I sampled them all).

Cold ,cloudy and need of a hot drink to warm us up. Unfortunateley the hot chocalate and coffee did not fill the bill. Good value on a hot day but needs to bit a lot warmer on a cold day.
