Liberten - Reservar uma mesa

We came across Liberten during a morning walk around the old part of Zamora and then along the riverside. They had just opened for lunchtime service so we though we would give it a try even though it was empty and we were the first customers. We were not disappointed. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The waiters were very attentive, from what I could see the kitchen is small but they turned out really nice food. It was lunchtime and only a few locals came in whilst we were there but I would return if we are back in Zamora sometime.

Me and my family were walking in the city looking for a restaurant since the one we booked ended up being closed. We came across this restaurant, as it seemed to be ok. The bottom floor was in a bar-like setup with older men drinking and being very loud. We went upstairs to the proper restaurant section. The service was quite slow and the menu was very average. We ordered the lamb and it turned out to be lamb brains... I know, shocking. Overall, it's very average.

Food almost delicious. Promptly served by friendly staff. Would have liked some veg with main courses. We had to ask twice for our wines to be served, twice, but it was a really busy Friday evening. Starters of squid and sweetbreads were perfectly cooked. Shoulder of baby lamb and baby lamb chops rather overcooked. And no veg at all with the lamb shoulder. Overall experience good, not great. Maybe not for Friday and Saturday?

Came across this after a long day travelling , so hadn’t booked and the restaurant was very busy . The staff could let do enough to accommodate us . The service was spot on and the food was amazing … good price too .
