We happened upon this place we're so glad we did! What a gem! We were finishing up a day at Bar Harbor Acadia N.P. We pressed the fork knife button on the rental car GPS and it brought up this restaurant. We were hungry and it was the closest. So we headed in that direction. We stayed in the Airbnb below the Lighthouse so I stopped in for lunch one afternoon. It's an old timey bar feel with friendly staff. The hours are odd especially towards the end of high season. The lunch menu and dinner menu vary drastically. They tell you up front if they are out of a menu item which happened when I visited. Their poor fryer also went out so that limited the menu some more. However, as long as you're flexible, you'll find something to eat. I got the lobster roll and it was good. They are known for their soups and chowders and homemade pie but I didn't try those this time around. Maybe next time.

Stopped here for lunch after site seeing in Acadia, ordered calamari and scallops broiled (not deep fried). Calamari was over cooked and extremely chewy, scallops were not thoroughly cooked, not brown what so ever and not good period.they were served in a bowl of juice. Service: 3

We had the seafood chowder and it was by far the best soup I've ever had! Excellent flavor and so much seafood in it. It wasn't thick and creamy like my husband expected, but the flavor was so exceptional that it didn't need anything else. Service: 5
