We have visited this shop regularly over quite a few years, and have found the fish n chips to be excellent, and the staff were perfect. This year, sadly, it would appear that this is not the case. Several months ago, a notice stated that prices had to rise, or the shop would close. In this present situation, unfortunately, many others are in the same situation. This co-incided with the quality going downhill . The (usually crispy batter) on the fish was now soggy , and chips were no-where near like they used to be . Could it be that savings on gas could be the reason?

We've lived here over a year now and come here a couple of times a month. It's always busy never a bad sign and the portion sizes are very generous. We now only get one portion of chips to share between two and the standard fish size is big enough for most appetites. The homemade Tartar sauce is well worth the 50p per pot!

Friendly staff. We had to wait a while for haddock and black pudding but well worth it. Everything was beautiful and we’re going to visit again later this week. I’ve heard the curry sauce is rather good!!

Best fish and chips ever!! Chips perfectly cooked snd the batter lovely and crispy. The chippy is also immaculately clean.

We were on holiday and called here for fish and chips, they were so good we went back 2 days later. Recommended
