Löwen - Reservar uma mesa

This was our first visit to the LÖWEN in Bonstetten since the retirement of the Kündig couple earlier this year. We had an event to celebrate and choose the nearby restaurant for a nice tête-à-tête. And it became a perfect dinner. What is important for elderly people like us is the ability to share a menu. The new tenant who served himself let us share without any raise of the eyebrows the first course, a tasty mushrum plate as well as the main course, veneson filets. A nice glass of Sicilian wine, a tasty sweet and an espresso completed a fine evening. We will be there again.

While the cook can usually improvise, the only thing that's guaranteed to be vegan and available is the tatar. I liked it, though not quite as excellent as the one from Hiltl. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, though, with a garden in an almost traffic free area.

Caesar salad made me come back for more! I ordered it two nights in a row. It comes with bacon so if that's not your thing, order something else. If you like bacon on your salad, get it! Yum
