Los Gauchos - Reservar uma mesa

As a family of three, we ate at this restaurant yesterday. Food quality was average. Asked for two steaks to be very well done. One was served rare and the other medium rare. We had to send one back and it returned marginally better done....When paying we were charged and not We raised with the waitress who was exceptionally rude. Firstly she said we ordered a different steak from her colleague and we explained that we had pointed to the one we wanted on the menu. Then she said we were all given old menus with old prices, all prices had gone up. When we were calculating the overcharge she said she didn’t have time to wait around as she had many tables to serve and offered us a lesser refund....

The restaurant in on a nice plaza, great for dining outside. The staff were very friendly and prompt. The food wasn't great though. My steak was under seasoned, probably not aged long enough (i.e. tasteless) and slightly overcooked. The starter and sides were good but...not great. But the worst was the house red (wine), it was much too warm. A shame really as I was looking forward to it.

The food here is good but do not bother booking a table as when you turn up one will not have been reserved for you. This has happened to us twice. Never again. There are plenty more brilliant restaurants around

On my visit there I had beef montevideo. of the best steak I ever had. It was beautiful, heaven in my mouth. Thank you

Very good excellent steaks. I had a large salad which almost killed me eating it as it was so big!
