We are just so grateful to you for the recommendation! This wonderful little local restaurant is a wonderful island of authenticity and unprecociousness in the midst of a pretty boring plain between Foix and Toulouse. We would never have found it without the last person's review, and she is absolutely right! Christian Rescanieres and his son in law Vincent Viart greeted us warmly .They run the establishment with informality but great flair and passion; and it is clearly appreciated by the locals. We had to try the Cassoulet- specialite du maison- after your recommendation; it was delicious and well worth the slight wait while it was prepared and cooked. My son, despite having lived in Southern France for fifteen years had never tried Cassoulet and as we had ended up in Saverdun at tum filling time, and I liked the look of L 'Oustalou, I felt it would be the perfect moment. The restaurant is far away from pretension, and hurrah for that a basic but cosy little restaurant run by the chef and his son(? where the goal is to provide good, sturdy, no fuss delicious Cassoulet (along with a few other options with enthusiasm and much knowledge. I had the non meat Cassoulet although as he pointed out the beans are cooked in goose grease and my son, the tradition Toulousain recipe. De passage à Saverdun avons réservé suite aux avis déjà donnés. Pas du tout déçu bien au contraire ! Menu enfant au top. Très bon rapport qualité/prix. Excellent repas, chef cuisinier très à l'écoute des souhaits des clients, très bon service. A RECOMMANDER ! Si nous revenons sur Saverdun sûr que nous reviendrons. Des supporters Boucalais.

On y a amené mes grands parents qui sont de Saverdun. Ils n'y étaient jamais allé. Et ils ont été agréablement surpris. Nous avons très bien mangé. En revanche nous étions seul dans la salle. C'est dommage. J'encourage donc les personnes à venir dans ce restaurant.

The place does not seem to exist any longer. It is empty and the name no longer in it. The took a detour to go there for nothing. It said open now on trip advisor
