Low & Slow American BBQ

This is score for their business processes. I haven't tried the food. 1 star, is because I phoned to cancel a 5pm booking for my family of 5 at 12pm same day. I was told on the voicemail that cancellations had to be done online. I hung up, cancelled online and was charged a $50 cancellation fee that was immediately withdrawn from my credit card. Yes, it's in the fine print. Yes, they have to make money. Surely a 5 hour cancellation is enough time to rebook the table on a Saturday night. $50 is far too much. Of course, we'll never go back there now because I feel upset and soured by the experience. Low and Slow, take my money if we didn't rock up on the night, that's fair, but to take it imme...

Why don’t we have this in Cairns? I just had to walk in after I passed by and I saw how busy it was! They got me a seat on the bar and I’m so happy that I walked in! Best bbq I had in Aussie! It wasn’t only the great food that made my day! the vibe was great and the staff looked like they were enjoying it a lot which I could feel and loved to see! They definitely worked hard enough and if I come back in Adelaide I will book a table to make sure I’ll have a spot next time. I will make sure I won’t have to work the next day because the drinks are good as well!

First impressions are what sets the vibe. Def booked outside seating but told no I didn’t. However the staff got us another table which was outside. We ordered the platter for two. Cold/warm ribs with to much sweet sauce. Sides also to much dressing however hubby enjoyed the greens. Chicken wings were dry so yeah over the meal already. One of our guests had brisket and didn’t like it either. Wouldn’t go back sorry. Overpriced food which doesn’t need to be as the place was busy.

We booked a table for our family of 5 inside. It was too noisy and cramped for our liking outside definitely would have been a better choice. The brisket was nice and soft but the ribs were dry and the chicken wings too spicy. The sides were not great and very small serving. Went once, probably won't go again, especially for the price of what you get.

Great informal eating. The food was perfectly cooked and really tasty. The staff were lovely and the place had a lively buzz. Would be great for families, couples or an informal business meet.
