Mademoiselle Suzette

My Sister lives in Le Chesnay which is less than a mile from the Palace of Versailles. She encouraged us to try Mademoiselle Suzette one evening for a good, reasonably priced meal. We arrived at 8:30 p.m. and the place was seemed to be the busiest in town but we got a table for 4 immediately. Alexis, our waiter, was hard working and scrambled to get so many tables served. Julia also waited our table and spoke great English. The menu was not in English but we knew enough to know what we wanted. We stayed two nights at the Novotel in Versailles, on our way home from a holiday in the South of France, and the children 's preferred choice was galettes/crepes. This popped up on Google Maps, just a 10 minute walk from the hotel, and we could not have asked for a better meal, eating with the locals, well off the tourist route. Vegetarian, salmon and ham galettes were all very tasty indeed and though youngest child isn 't a fan of the buckwheat pancake mix, he relished his ham/cheese/tomato option. Just wonderful. I had read good reviews on the food and also the service, and we were not disappointed. Our French was extremely limited, the owner/manager went out of his way to help us and make sure our experience was a positive one. The food was amazing, the service even better and the cocktail, c’est fabuleux!!! Thank you

My savory crepe was good, but not my favorite. I can’t remember the name, but I got one with ham and cheese and potatoes. I wish I had gotten something else. My sweet crepe was delicious! I got the speculoos. The service was good too.

Staying with friends in Le Chesnay we got to take their 3 children here earlier this month. The food was well prepared, the staff understood the situation and were professional and polite, and we all had a good time.
