Mai-tai Thai-vietnamrestaurant

I was until recently in a Rehab Klinik in Bad Homburg for three weeks after a hip Op. The food was not bad, bit bland and very portion controlled. A friend visited one Sunday and we escaped to the MaiTai an excellent Thia Vietnamese restaurant, a very very good idea. All the food was excellent, maybe a little sweet. The hot and cold Thai spring rolls were delicious. My crispy duck was crispy and tasty. It had a very nice chilli kick. The service was very friendly. That Sunday Bad Homburg had a Triathlon going on not far away so we had the place almost to ourselves. If I did not live far away in Darmstadt I would be a very regular customer !

Why do we always return to this restaurant? Because we know that we will get good food, pleasant and friendly service and value for money! The portions are most generous and if you really find it too much doggy bags are given willingly. I love my crispy noodles with shrimps. I have great fun eating them with chopsticks. (If you want to use chopsticks you must ask, otherwise the normal cutlery is given. We often have one of the soups, either Thai or Vietnamese that are very tasty. Usually, we finish our meal with leeches that slip down the throat easily and round off the meal.

If you want to find almost authentic Vietnamese or Thai food, come to Maitai Bad Homburg. It's a bit pricey depending on what you order, but the food was very delicious. The staff are friendly and service is very ok. Especially, we didn't have to wait long to be served.

The food, the ambient and the price is out of this world. I think the price of the food is ridiculous to low for the quality and the amount of food you get. Would highly recommend.

Terrible service! Ambiance is nothing special, chairs are uncomfortable, staff is not friendly and not able to recommend anything when asked, taste of the food is ok!
