Perhaps my expectations were too high but I was quite disappointed with my dinner. I had a car but chose to take a taxi thinking that it would be a long evening. The outdoor patio and surrounding vineyards are certainly nice but the traffic noise was a distraction. The source of the noise is a ways away but noticeable given that the location of the restaurant is on a hillside. The two servers were attentive and literally ran inside and out with their orders even though there weren't that many diners. It must be a long way to the kitchen?.The real disappointment was the food. The chef certainly has great knife skills as the presentation was very good. Unfortunately, all the dishes were lackin...

We were here as part of a small group on a day trip through the vineyards of the Cote du Rhone. The setting for lunch, on the terrace adjacent to the vineyards was just superb. Service was impeccable. The food was very good-I had a pave of a white fish on a carrot purée as my main. While the plating of the food was excellent and the flavours were fine, I'd have to say the food didn't really blow me away-but overall it was a very enjoyable lunch.

Sitting on the terrace among the vineyards at this restaurant on the outskirts of Tain L’Hermitage is just lovely. Unfortunately the food did not live up to the setting. Not that the food was poorly prepared, but it just seemed to pale in comparison with the locale.

Magical dinner on a beautiful terrasse overlooking the Cave de Tain vineyards... You will find a charming service and an attractive menu with a mostly local wine list, I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

We found the interior a bit dark, but in a beautiful late September evening it was perfect to sit outside under the trees. Food and service was delightful, could not ask for anything more.
