Let 's state the obvious before we begin Sacramento has DOZENS of Thai food places. Not sure if it 's just a 916 thing, but everywhere you look Thai places are popping up. With so many options and every single one offering the same thing it 's difficult to feel excitement. But low and behold; this Thai resteraunt has remarkable unique dishes that gives Sacramento thai cuisine a whole new fresh experience and in the most tucked away unique location. Our server was super sweet and gave the best and attentive service, checking in with us and refilling our waters whenever necessary. I think one of the main points of this restaurant would be their special appetizers and Thai Tower. Their Thai food is pretty average compared to other Thai restaurants but the specialties they have are what make them stand out. Thai Tower I've always loved papaya salad but it's unique here because they fried and made it crispy. Even crispy, it still has a nice texture and isn't hard. Repeat patron! Since my last review, I have been in for Happy Hour weekdays 6 9 PM, dine in only , lunches, and dinners. At most places, Happy Hour ends at 6 PM, so the timing of this reverse happy hour seems pretty unique to me. Happy Hour deals are $6 for fried rolls, potstickers, chicken wings, or crispy tofu. $1 off draft beer, $2 off wine by the glass, or $5 house red. The lunch special pricing and portions are still very good too. Always a fan of Pad Thai shrimp or Green Curry Tofu as my go tos, and usually the green Thai iced tea. First time trying this place. I recently started working in the area, so I was looking for Thai food that is good, and conveniently located near my new job...this place popped up. Called ahead for my lunch order, and the food was ready on time (1 star). The restaurant is in a small center just off I-80 and Reed Ave. Parking here has never been great, but that 's because it 's a busy area. However, the restaurant is very easy to find (1 star). Homemade Cooking Style [West Sacramento CA] A week after we had our event at Manaao in West Sac I took my husband here and enjoyed a nice dinner. We ordered something simple and ordered the Thai Hot Wings and Pad See Ew Entree w Golden Tofu. For dessert we shared the Blue Pea Sticky Rice with Mango. I finally decided that it was time to dine at Manaao given the great recommendations. The presentation was very pleasing. We started with the crispy tofu as it was on the list of happy hour items. I wasn't impressed as the tofu tasted bland and lacked flavor. The dipping sauce was just okay. The crab fried rice was just okay as well. It didn't have that seafood flavoring that I prefer. The ribeye steak was very tender and flavorful, although it was a little too salty for my liking. It was not a big deal as I ate it with more sticky rice. The scallops were delicious. I went on a dinner date here this past Friday. We made reservations but were surprised that the place was not packed. Their menu was extensive, so there were many options to choose from. We ordered the Thai Ribeye Steak, Better than Sex Jumbo Scallops, Shrimp Basil Fried Rice, and Sake. The portions were larger than I expected and we had more than enough food for two people. I was impressed with the scallops... they were perfectly cooked! All of the sauces that accompanied the entrees were flavorful and tasty. My date poured them on just about everything. If I had room for more food, I would have ordered dessert. I guess that means I will have to come back again.

The food was bursting with flavor and the portion sizes were quite generous for the price. We arrived with four very hungry individuals, including my brother-in-law, who can eat as much as two or three people! We started with three small appetizers, all of which were absolutely delicious. Then we shared three entrees, and each one left us impressed. There were no leftovers; everything was just too good to remain on the plates. It truly was a perfect dining experience!
