The neighborhood itself is wonderful, located directly behind the Notre Dame Basilica - it is an old neighborhood which has recently come alive with trendy shops and stylish restaurants. This is one of the most wonderful Montreal neighborhoods for a stroll. I wish the restaurant was as good as the neighborhood. Service was divided: the two guys were smiling and personable. The two women were icy and unhappy. The woman with the dark straight hair greeted us with a blank stare when we arrived - not sure what that was about. We arrived exactly on time for our reservation. Very nice venue. Service is warm but professional, lot of attention to details and to explanations if you are not familiar with some ingredients. Our server went back and forth to the kitchen to come back with the right answers so we could adjust our orders to our feelings of the moment so do not be afraid to ask for additions, deletions or substitutions. Generous portions so do not order too much. Good wine selection but a lot being back order, inclusive of the wine of the day that day...so that could be improved, and offering better prices on wine (like the typical discounted 9oz glass). So very nice Pizza if you like it the Italian way. Enjoy!

Mangiafocco is a mozzarella bar where the main act (mozzarella di bufala or burratta) is paired with marinated and deli sides. We've been here before and came back again to enjoy the Quebec Mozzarella di Bufala - denser, chewier and more acidic than its Italian cousin. On this visit, also sampled sides of tasty/tender homemade porchetta and truffled peaches (more like unripened, marinated olives). Finished the meal with tiramisu, which, unfortunately, was a letdown if you've ever had the real thing. The local items are the recommended top picks.

I tried to get into the restaurant Saturday night but was turned away due to no reservations. I came back the next day reservations in hand. What a disappointment. Food was just ok nothing special. Service, although they tried to be polite they couldn't help but be arrogant. I ordered a bottle of wine only to send it back. It was corked, spelled and tasted bad but the waitress insisted it was good. Insinuated she knew more then the stupid tourist. Well she didn't and I will never go back there or recommend it others.Too bad so sad! Reserve uma mesa agora

I haven't been in years to this restaurant. We had the beets salad, Caesar salad, and caprese salad, all very delicious and generous portions. We had the Bolognese pasta, sausage pizza and goat cheese pizza very decadent all of them. All this for 120$ plus tip for 3 with a glass of wine and cappuccino. Maybe expensive for some but definitely delicious and fresh food. I highly recommend a pit stop.

I actually went there twice! The first time was onna date with my boyfriend and the second was with one of my friends. Both times, the food was amazing! I get the pizza and it is so tasty! No time felt different, ambiance wise. It is not only for couples, its has very lounge atmosphere! Food is good, ambiance is very nice.. if you wanna impress a Pizza Lover onna date, bring them there!

Went to this restaurant on July 3rd. Food was super. Young server was great and saw the two most gorgeous man and woman ever I think having a good time together while there. I will return to this restaurant any time I visit Montreal and will likely choose Epik as my go to hotel.

We ate here twice during our 5 day stay in Montreal. The buffalo mozzarella is delicious as are the sides available. I really enjoyed he arugula salad with parmesan while my husband opted for the pizza. Good device, very good food. Definitely recommend it. Reserve uma mesa agora

Lovely relaxing pizza in this restaurant. Great selection of tempting plates. Delicious burrata and tomato capreze salad. Good location in the old town.

Great food, fresh mozzarella and very nice wood oven pizzas ! Nice location in the heart of the old port !
