Marigold - Reservar uma mesa

This is the second time I have been to this restaurant in the last 6 weeks and will never go back. We were sat down for a total of 1 hour and 45 minutes and in that time 4 trolleys past. 1 only had 1 dish left, 2 trolleys were full of desert and the other again had very limited food left. After advising 3 different members of staff that the trolleys were not coming past and requesting some come by ASAP we were told to wait, they are busy and the trolleys will come and the second women said she couldn’t understand us and would send over a manager. After 1.45hours of eating 1 plate of spare ribs and 1 plate of cold prawn dumplings we requested the bill (which arrived in 60 Seconds) and proceed...

The Marigold has been one of our favourite restaurants. The food was always magnificent as was the service. However this has clearly all changed. What a horrible experience. Yesterday 23rd May 2021 we decided to have Yum Cha at the Marigold. Big mistake. After queueing for almost an hour we finally got a table to only be completely and utterly ignored. No one was interested in serving us as all the waitstaff was fawning over one table and not interested in anyone else. When I tried to get attention from the waitstaff they simply refused to call management and continued to ignore us. Furthermore the few items of food we managed to secure was rancid. Just called tried to find out what time they served yumcha until, the lady who answered the call in her bitter rudeness answered without giving me a chance to speak said no booking first in first served….I am just a customer who is trying to support this business but not sure why she had to be rude and bitter over the phone? I’d rather go to KFC now….bye Marigold…not gonna miss you unfortunately

This has been a favourite Yum Cha restaurant in Sydney for over 30 years. They announced in December that they were closing. Tripadvisor has not been updated with these latest details. I wish you was still open as my family and I loved attending.

Great authentic Indian food. Friendly staff and great customer service Ankush and Ujjwal. Highly recommend
