when I wanted to plan a short visit from the city, I spent some time exploring a fun dinner place to go with local omnivore friends who do not know the vegan-friendly restaurant scene. my online search hit marinitas the best option, and the reality surpassed my expectations. there were several vegan entree options, all clearly marked and described on the menu. I ordered the tacos de verduras; the sweet were a wonderful mix of aromen and textures. the atmosphere and the beverage selection were exactly what I was looking for.

I was thrilled to see vegan options in this lively, traditional restaurant, but the enchiladas were really disappointing. the all-eaters of my party were all agreed that they were nothing like enchiladas. the soße was a pale, inconspicuous yellow-green color, which was lemony, but otherwise bland. the tortillas were only half submerged and browned, too hard and dry to even cut with my knife. the veggies were ok, decent fresh green, but the taste was only of smokey char and salt.

the food was delicious and the vegan items were marked. it was quite busy (on Saturday night), but the staff was very friendly and even gave us a free side of guacamole for waiting for. the inner has a lot of cool decor and a living atmosphere.

marinitas is ideal for a nice dinner or as a great restaurant to meet friends. very lively and great atmosphere! only a few vegan options, but eating is amazing and the margaritas are wonderful! definitely recommend
