Maverick's Wood Grill

First things first when I walked in I was immediately attended to and treated like a valued customer. Sadly I had never made it to Maverick’s despite living nearby for decades. : Thankfully I stopped in between crowds which I avoid when by myself and took it all in for the first time. I almost gave sweeping fives, and maybe am being a bit of a stickler as I’m dying to find a good artichoke dip nearby, and sadly theirs was only okay. It lacked artichokes really, as I think they were minced too finely but also not enough as the other ingredients over powered them. Still the base flavor was good and I took half home were I will add some marinated artichoke hearts I have and it’ll be spectacular...

Once seated, our server Austin greeted us and promptly brought us water filled with ice, along with plates and silverware. Now, you might think that's just standard service, but it’s refreshing to find a place that prioritizes the customer. Initially, we were just there for drinks and sunlight, but then we noticed their sign outside boasting about millions of "Wings" served! We decided we had to try them. I wasn’t expecting much, but let me tell you—the wood-fired, meaty wings were perfectly cooked and coated in a delicious whiskey BBQ sauce (I might not have the sauce name exactly right). We visited this restaurant for the first time and it exceeded our expectations! Our son recently moved to the area, and we discovered this hidden gem tonight. Everything is made from scratch, and we all loved our sandwiches and the Clucked Up fries. We started with dry rub wings accompanied by Bleu Cheese dressing, which was simply fantastic! If you’re a fan of Bleu Cheese, this is one of the best you’ll find. The staff was friendly, and Austin took great care of us, offering helpful suggestions for our meal choices. Thank you for a wonderful experience; we will definitely return!

After just my second visit, I’m convinced: this is the best wing spot in the Twin Cities. Ryan truly excels at crafting unique and delicious sauces that perfectly coat high-quality chicken wings cooked to perfection. The only thing a wing needs, aside from being well-cooked and sauced, is a good dip of blue cheese, and the blue cheese here is by far the best I’ve ever tasted. Wow... seen their red devil wings or something along the lines of that name. Hottest wings they had a available. Top 3 of all my wing experience. Waitress was hilarious and vibed very well with our group. Bought their blue cheese because that was the best I've ever had. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

We had a fantastic experience and will definitely be back. The burgers were cooked to perfection (mine was very rare) and you could really taste the flavor of the wood smoke. We thoroughly enjoyed dining on their outdoor patio. We can't wait to return soon!

This place has the best wings in town! The food is incredible thanks to their wood-fired grills. Overall, I give the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5 out of 5.
