McDonald's - Reservar uma mesa

A few months ago when we went here, there was a long queue at the door as everybody was being checked for vaccinations. We didn't bother. On this occasion, it was a lot quieter. Again, there is a system whereby you take a plastic plinth and enter the number on the screen. Except there weren't any? A message saying there was no table service popped up. We sat down and were served at our table? All a tad confusing, but the meal was hot, particularly the potato wedges. First time we have tried them and not the last! There were notices saying the tables were wiped after every customer, but this clearly was incorrect as some had crumbs on them and no-one was cleaning.

When Mcdonald's had colour coded areas, the staff knew roughly where to take the orders to. Now, with the introduction of the numbers on a plastic plinth, they can end up walking round several times to try and find where the customer is. I have seen this in France, where the server passed us twice, looking for the customer. By the third pass, I guess the food wasn't hat hot? This is now the same in the U.K. Stupid idea.

Why oh why did Macdonalds introduce those plastic number boards when ordering your meal? The colour coded areas meant the servers would bring the meal to that area, where you would be sitting. On several occasions, we saw a meal do two and a half laps of the restaurant before the customer was identified. Ridiculous! Nothing much wrong with our service, or the meal. Toilets not very clean, nor the tables.

Typical McDonald's, hot, speedy food and free wi-fi. Toilets are always clean and the addition of screens to order your food means there is no language barrier. Also, it is one of the few places you can get a coffee or snack ALL day EVERY day!

What to say, its a MacDonalds! accept that there is plenty of Parking spaces, the traditional kids play area and some picnic tables in the shade of the trees
