On a night drive from Edinburgh airport we had pre decided to stop for a coffee, breakfast and child’s meal break at Mc Ds as we’d noticed it when stopping at nearby asda on the way up. It was 4.30am when we arrived, understandably very quiet. 3 attempts later (no breakfast menu until 5am! and my order still ended up wrong. Took ages despite laughing and singing to finally deliver chicken nuggets, chips and a coffee (asked for fruit shoot . It must be a tough, long boring time during the night but surely they should be prompt, get the order right and not laugh and joke when we are tired customers needing a break. Car park needed cleaning too.
Me and my girlfriend went to get some chicken selects. We paid at the self pay till, then waited for our food. We waited behind the counter for nearly 10 minutes, there was a disgusting smell of smoke from the kitchen, when we did get our food I asked for some sauce and the rudest girl rolled her eyes at me then slammed the sauce on the counter in front of me. Good thing they wear name badges, as I think Jemma should definitely get a word about how she acted with me. We went to the car to eat, there was a long ginger hair in my fries and the chicken looked burnt. I won’t be coming back
Visited here last week and what a mess ! We waited 20 minutes for our food veggy nuggets etc they were Fried to an inch of their lives. The inside of the place was filthy! All the bins were overflowing inside out plus an excessive wait for food including a 15 minute wait for an extra ice cream. Flys all over the place, dirty tables just disgusting! We Dont go here often thank god will not be going again. Dread to think what the toilets would of been like. Managers wondering around looking disinterested. Sort it out Ps the young chap who served us was pleasant and friendly.
After waiting for ten minutes for a table, we were finally seated. However, we were asked to leave by a staff member named Pauline because another party needed the table. Despite our confusion and disappointment, we were forced to find another table. The whole experience left us feeling unwelcome and disrespected. It was disappointing to be treated this way at a restaurant like McDonald's, where typically it's first come, first served. This McDonald's has to be the slowest in the world. I frequently drive along the A1 to Edinburgh and recently experienced a 15-minute wait in the drive-thru for just a coffee, with only two cars in front of me. The staff seemed unenthusiastic and slow, lacking in efficiency. Even when I went inside to order my coffee, the service was still extremely slow and the staff appeared to be standing around doing nothing. Overall, my experience was completely useless.
The oil they are cooking my chicken in was black and smoking, I could smell the rancid smoke from the counter. I waited ages, I could see my food sitting under the hot lights but the girls there just stood staring into space, I could hear a lot of coughing from the kitchen (no doubt from the smoke) I won’t be going back, and I don’t think anyone else should if they value their health as old oil can be highly carcinogenic.
