Great food and been there many times. As a party of 7, with 3 children under 6 years, thought best to book a table. Told on the phone that they don 't take bookings. Arrived early and found a large table, and just as the other 6 were arriving I was told the table was booked! If I 'd known I would have found another cafe. As it was we waited ages for a table with small children milling around, complete with dirty looks from staff. Disappointing. Some suggestions on how you could have dealt with the situation better: 1. we had a dinner with friends. the menu vegan elements are marked on the menu, but interesting are not veggie. there are also gluten-free options. I thought there was enough choice for vegan and vegan, which I had the Aubergine tagine with a cuddly cucumber side salad. the other salate also looked amazing. followed by a grilled pineapple and cocosis. the atmosphere loved it. the place was relaxed perfect for meeting with friends who haven't seen them for a year. no overwhelming music. the staff was happy to help but not in their face. price with £13 pornstar and salat £6.50 it could be considered expensive. were large. It's a nice place and the food is usually great, but this time two of the salads were very overseasoned (and l love salt!! . Ordered a crumble which took 20 min to arrive at the table not good! The so called custard served with it was horrible and contained coconut in some form. That was never mentioned when the waiter was asked if it was a traditional crumble or if it contained any different ingredients again, not good! For me, the staff's attitude lets the place down. They are desinterested, a little cocky and behave as if working there makes them special but, really, they're just waiters/waitresses that are not very good at their job. Visiting Medina, whether it's just for coffee and cake or something more substantial is always a treat. A fabulous array of food and cakes combined with comfortable surroundings and friendly staff make it a real pleasure. Parking: There is very limited street parking in the immediate vicinity, we often park on the prom in the 4 hour zone, otherwise there is parking at Tesco and near the football ground. The restaurant is in a fantastic spot, with a wide variety of delicious food and a great selection of Welsh beers. The cakes and desserts also looked amazing. The service was excellent. We had brunch there and the price per person was between £10-20. I would give the food, service, and atmosphere a rating of 5. I recommend trying the Chicken Shawarma in Pitta Bread, Salads, and Cumin Potatoes. They also have a large selection of vegetarian options, which I highly recommend.
