I politely approached the woman at the front counter, whom I believe to be the manager, to inquire whether there had been a mistake with my order. She checked with the kitchen, and moments later, my order arrived—but it was incorrect. Normally, I wouldn’t mind eating what was given to me, but I worried it might belong to someone else, so I felt it necessary to inform the manager to avoid any complaints. Not only was the manager extremely rude, but she also accused someone at my table of stealing my meal, despite the fact that none of us had the correct order. Overall, my experience at the restaurant was positive and the food was enjoyable. However, I found the $5 charge for avocado to be quite unreasonable. Unfortunately, they're not flexible with substitutions, as my partner wanted to replace the sausage with avocado, but the server denied the request. As a result, I had to order the avocado as an extra, but we only received half an avocado for that price! I believe the pricing for extras is excessive, especially for fresh items that require no cooking. Even buying an avocado from the supermarket across the street, even out of season, wouldn’t cost me $5. I would suggest that the cafe reconsider their pricing for extras.

The staff were quite busy, and we didn't have a reservation, but they made sure we knew we weren't overlooked. Once we placed our order, the wait time for our food and drinks was surprisingly quick given how busy they were. The vegan options were good (though I'm not vegan, just dairy-free). Next time, I plan to add eggs, but that’s not something I can blame the staff for. I was really pleased to finally be able to order what I wanted instead of just the only dairy-free item on the menu, as there were so many choices. It’s a unique spot that features a second-hand clothing market. The food at the café is quite good, and the coffee is satisfactory, though their cold drinks could use some improvement. They update their food menu periodically, and some items are available in limited quantities, so they may run out by the afternoon.

Came for Brunch on a Sunday. Super busy so make sure you make a booking. Plenty to choose from, would be great if there was fresh juices done there on site. Food was delivered quickly but was super fresh with good sizes and was delicious. Will be returning soon.

Mekko was pumping on Saturday morning for brunch and the staff were polite and kind in helping us find a seat. Nice menu and the breakfast frittata was on point. One piece of toast with eggs is not enough but the meal was still delicious and we had a nice time

Mekko Market Cafe is a great place to dine, drink coffee and meet friends in Prospect. The environment and food are also good. There is a second-hand clothing market inside, which looks beautiful and very distinctive.
