Very disappointed with food quality and service. We had booked a table for 13 people, 3 of which which were children. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely waitress who took us to our seats, but then proceeded to ask us to pass the plates and cutlery down the table to where the other guests were yet to arrive. So we set half of the tables, which is bizarre to ask a customer, but she was a lovely girl so it wasn 't a big deal at the time...until things went really downhill. We ordered 3 x £40 mixed grill platters which are meant to serve 3 4 people and asked for rice only, no bulgar. Went in the restaurant and ordered Melhi 's special mixed grill which was clearly displayed with various meat and chicken including lamb chops, I checked with the lady at the till who repeated it comes with lamb chops, as I wanted to check if it comes with salad, however when I got home we noticed there was no lamb chops. I called the restaurant and suddenly they said it doesn 't come with lamb chops and instead they gave chicken chops which is ridiculous! I asked what is chicken chops which I 've never heard of? I was in the area on a business trip, and visited here on the strength of the Tripadvisor reviews. Initially I looked through the window, was a bit unsure, but one of the staff popped out and handed me a menu. So, I went in, was offered a seat and it is a great place. The food was excellent. The saksuka starter was just right, and the lambs liver main course was spot on too. The staff were friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. It has an unusual atmosphere. It is not a restaurant. It feels like a takeaway with an extensive, and well-presented, seating area. And it is all the better for it. You see the food being cooked. You see people coming and going. Your food is brought to you....

Just wow!!!! Went in with my husband got given lahmachun and salad with a cold mezze to begin with immediately, which was on the house, so sweet. We then got the Melih special which was a platter for two which tasted amazing, would’ve posted pictures but they didn’t turn out the best quality but when I tell you the food truly looks as good as it tastes haha to end the meal we got complementary desert and tea which was also so incredibly sweet. The staff were also so nice and were always there for anything we needed to ask Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp available for people with wheelchairs, if walking across it tho do look down don’t be like me and almost fall into tables haha as... 10 of us aged 12 74 just got back from Melih BBQ. Fantastic food, service was spot on and the price was honest. We will certainly be going back there again and again we had a great afternoon. If I had to suggest 1 thing it would be to consider putting Hamburger on the menu for the kids but that is a tiny point and will nto stop us returning.

What a lovely surprise! Ordered two meat platters and a fish platter to takeaway, and it was authentic, tasty and very reasonably priced. This is my first time here, but I will definitely come here again. Definitely worth a visit.

Not only that the staff is amazing, but the food is from stories. The taste, the freshness, all made in front of you. Is just wow. We always return here with pleasure.
