Mel's Fish Chips - Reservar uma mesa

Very soggy food, Had to throw french fries away, we ordered onion rings, no malt vinegar was given as ordered, calamari rings were soggy, waste of $140.00 I bragged about this place, and had to hear negative feedback from friends, they're taking me to Betty's fish and chips to show me what real fish and chips should look like, what happened? you use to be the spot. Never going back, you shouldn't either. So disappointed. I wish this would let me post a picture of all the food we had to throw. Hate this review, I had high hopes you still had the same quality

The prawns were great. The fries very nice, thick cut well done and tasty. Loved the coleslaw. The staff (owners extremely nice.Unfortunately the star of the show, the fish was pretty awful. Overcooked, dry, chewy to the point of not being able to swallow it... So disappointing as I had heard so many good things. Might give it another try if I'm back it in the area. Hopefully it was a fluke.

dreadful, mumbling, ordered tweepering rings and got mulled, calamari was also soggy and cold. Go to bettys fish and chips! run them from this place, what happened to them?

Absolutely the best fish'n chips on this side of town. They also have shrimp, scallops, oysters and other awesome stuff. Nice folks too. Family owned, family run.

The fish, prawns, scallops were good, the chips seem to be frozen. They should save some money and improve quality using fresh potatoes.
