Mezcaleros Tapas Cocktails

I went to dinner with friends here and had a terrible experience. We waited 10 minutes to be seated even though we arrived on time for our reservation, and the table was ready. This would not have been a big deal if they did not deduct this time from our allotted one-and-a-half hours. They messed up our order twice and did not offer any compensation. The avocado served on the beef tacos was extremely brown, nearing rotten. It took 25 minutes for us to get our dessert and after-dinner drinks. Not even 2 minutes after they came, the waitress came to tell us we had to leave the table immediately because the next group was already there and waiting. We were there for a birthday party.......some tapas.....some drinks. The drinks are expensive.....$15 each and that adds up quickly. The tapas items were also not cheap.....3 small tacos $15.....guacamole $9. They also have a 5-7 drink special.......wine $7.00. Here are the problems with this place. The wine at $7 is a 2.5 oz serving. Two sips and the glass is finished....what a rip off. The food itself was not tasty at all. I was expecting much more flavour. This place become quite pricey for two people with not much to eat. Two taco plates, one guac, one wine and a beer $85 including tip. One thing though, the servers were really great. I will not go back there. Step up your game Mezcalero...

My favorite place in Montreal!! The hibiscus margarita is my go-to. The owner and the servers are all super sweet, and the happy hour specials are unbeatable!My only complaint is that they open at 5pm even in the summer. I would be there right now at 2pm sipping a cocktail on the terrace if I could, but sadly I will have to do so somewhere else ?

Went for the first time and had the best tacos al pastor we have ever had. Great cocktail too. Next time we will go for the happy hour or the sangria.

An unexpected surprise when looking for a night cap after dinner nearby. Love the ingredients used in their drinks.. very refreshing and spicy!
