Small casual restaurant not far from the interstate with wonderful food. As you walk in there is a case filled with wonderful looking dishes for takeout orders, of which they had a steady stream. We were seated immediately (around 1pm on a Sunday) and the gentleman who served us had great recommendations (although I would guess everything served here is excellent). My husband had a chicken and onions dish with mofongo. I had the roast pork, with beans and rice and plantains. Everything was absolutely delicious. Large portions at a very reasonable price. This is the kind of place where you can feel the love and pride that goes into every dish highly recommend!
the food was decent, and the service was good, but they have an automatic service fee for more than 3 people. I have never heard of a restaurant that costs an automatic service fee for 4 or more; it is in rule 6 or more diner or 8 or more. they did not declare that the automatic service fee is actually the tip to trick the customers (including me) into adding 15-20%. although there is the fee on the menu, it is ridiculous to load an automatic tip for 4 diners. bad, they didn't explain to be a tipp. loved the restaurant. will never go back.
We asked for a recommendation as we are new to this restaurant. The food was wonderful! I had steak, rice and black beans with plantains. My wife had chicken. The owner Junior gave us wonderful service. A very pleasant dining experience with great service. We will be back! By the way I had some cake... I also give that 5 stars!
If you are going or coming back from up north or south of Florida. I completely 100% recommend this restaurant!! Homemade and very friendly.As a very picky eater I usually don't rate places where I eat. But I just had to do it with this one. Delicious Dominican food??? this will be our new place to stop when traveling
