Our first time at a Monks. We did wait a good 5-10 minutes before our waitress came to our table, but once she did, she was very friendly attentive. The cheese curds dill pickle fries were great!! We ordered the Philly Cheese Steak the Sante Fe Chicken Wrap. Both were phenomenal. The upgraded onion petal side was worth the $1.99 extra. My only complaint would be the limited choices for the kids meal and what they did get did not look too appetizing, but the kids did eat it. 2 of the kids ordered a side salad that came with what looked like green red endive lettuce. NOT a good choice for Kids!! Definately need iceberg, or at the least romaine. All in all, highly recommended!! Prices were reas...
Prior to today's delicious meal with a genuine smile provided by our server, Miss Emily, and the warmest of welcomes, we had noted this establishment via a highway billboard 50 miles before Eau Claire. Today, we had decided that on our drive back from Siren, Wisconsin towards the Milwaukee area, we'd stop by for a burger. WE weren't disappointed! The hostess, unfortunately I failed to note their names, graciously accommodated our small four pawed service pet, offering the outdoors patio. WE will highly recommend this eatery to friends. Why is this place so far away? Stopped at Monks in Eau Claire for dinner before heading back to Milwaukee . Sat at the bar and Caitlyn took terrific care of us including helping me decide on a sandwich (the Carolina was awesome). My husband raved about his burger as the best he's had . Will make a special trip to Madison for dinner and hope the original is as good as this!
I really enjoyed my dining experience there. The food was absolutely excellent the service was great. The restaurant was very clean and orderly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my family and friends. I do plan on a return visit in the near future. The pot roast is to die for!
