Montana's BBQ & Bar

It's been a while since I've eaten at Montana's. I had a gift card, good for multiple restaurants but Montana's seemed to be calling my name. It was a nice cool sunny day so we decided to sit on the patio, along with several other diners. We were greeted by our server who presented us with menus and offered drinks. I chose the Chicken Burrito Bowl and my friend, who had eaten recently, just had a cup of coffee. The food arrived and looked good, albeit a wee bit messy. There were nice grill marks on the chicken and, while it tasted good, the overall presentation was below par. There were greasy fingerprints and bit of food splatter around the edge of the plate, which obviously hadn't been wip...

Well its been years since I have been to Montana's so tonight we arrived at 4 pm not late nor busy ...told no baked potatoes or pulled pork.First cup of coffee is less than warm and strong so was told she would brew a new pot..got second cup waited for more cream but by the time she brought it back coffee was warm again .......we order pull apart cheesey bread which is just frozen buns with toppings, that was still a little less than frozen when we got them!!!! sent them back and told them to forget it...we then got dinner Steak shrimp with sweet potatoe fries which was warm at best ...so they gave us a little discount big deal ...won't go back .....once bitten twice shy.....

Tonite we ordered curb side takeout from Montana’s in Whitby Cosumers Dr restaurant. My wife ordered 7oz steak which was fine. I had large ribs with mashed potatoes beans. When I got home opened my ribs, the potatoes was only 1/2 order the cup of beans was almost ALL liquid only a few, I mean a few beans. I called to complain all I got was excuses we use a ladle to put the beans in the cup we would not know how many beans were in the cup) she did say sorry but offered no solution. We ordered a few times during Covid to help local restaurants bu we will not be ordering from that Montana’s again.

ordered the chicken and rib combo and my wife ordered the 7 Oz steak and shrimp. the chicken wings were acceptable but the ribs were extremely dry and very lite smoke flavour, not enough of the honey chipotle sauce. my wife's steak was full of grizzle, the steak knives were extremely dull and she had trouble cutting her steak, she even tried my knife but had the same results. we ordered the churros for dessert and they were dripping with oil. overall a terrible experience! never again.

Montana's is supposed to be the best ribs so I was excited to try the all you can eat ribs. What a mistake. As soon as my knife tried to separate the first rib, I knew we were in trouble. Dry like you can't imagine. No flavour, burned, and did I mention dry? Never again. Also dislike their plates, everything flies off onto the table. Give me a traditional plate anyday.
