I was really disappointed at the service on the two occasions I had eaten there. The waitresses were either young and inexperienced (tried items that were ordered) or snore and irritated. My group were all German native speakers, so it was not a language barrier problem; they just made a terrible impression. The menu was usually overpriced for the quality and I would avoid the cheeses unless you are willing to risk an intestinal barrier. However, there is a jewel in the menu. The Kaiserschmarren is phenomenal, at least when I stacked against any restaurant or at home. They use this caramelization step that makes it really delicious. We took the one hour horse and coach trip it was most exquisite and a wonderful experience with the Mieming mountains as background. After that we enjoyed lunch in the delicious Moosalm restaurant. The food was excellent and the staff was attentive and friendly. We came to lunch later this week and it was just as good. The Emperor Schmarrn was delicious to enable this, I had a smaller first course of Vienna's Schnitzel.

From Obsteig went here and had a goulash soup and a glu wine - exactly what was necessary after a long walk! Friendly staff who speak fair English. Very popular with locals and stunning views. Also by bus and five minutes walk! Well recommended and quite an extensive menu.

Delicious and authentic austrian food. The owner is a charachter but funny. We had Wiener Schnitzel and Fish, for desert Marillen Knödel . Everything was really tasty and fresh. The desert was the best. Great location.

I tried some of the traditional dishes and the pig dumplings were so delicious I would just like to mention this dish and the dish! It makes my mouth water as I write:
