Did not meet expectations at all. Who doesn’t love kebabs and some awesome Mediterranean food? With a sad heart I say that you probably won’t like it here. I called for take out and asked for their doner kebab plate, but of course all they had was chicken, which was a huge let down and a big problem for a place with such a greater variety. So I got chicken kebab, disappointed I couldn’t try their beef and lamb, but still with high hopes for sole awesome chicken (I mean, hard to get a chicken kebab wrong with such great flavors, right Then the employee told me that they had a new policy making customers pay for takeout before they came in, but when I tried reading my card numbers to him for a...
Pictures lie. I ordered western omelette, and the pictures on the menu looks good. The breads on the pictures looked like they were homemade baked in the restaurant. My order took very long. I was shocked when I got it. The $11+ omelette was overcooked. It’s brown and spongy. Eggs were over whipped making it spongy. The onions were burnt. Finally, it did not come with the nice bread on the pictures. It’s just a slice of white bread toasted and cut diagonally. It’s so easy to cook an omelette, and they really messed this up. I want to give them just one star, but I’m going to be nice. Not coming back.
Mosaic exceeded all expectations. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The Cafe has a stunning design with beautiful glassworks and tapestries that tie everything together. The Turkish coffee is a great pick-me-up. The pancakes are large, the fruit is fresh, and the staff is fantastic. The prices are also very fair compared to other places in the area, which is a huge bonus. Don't miss out on Mosaic and enjoy the exceptional food and atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back as a regular customer.
We stumbled upon this restaurant after waiting too long at another local brunch spot, and I am so glad we did! The Turkish coffee was incredible (and a unique experience). We tried the menemen and Turkish sucuk and eggs, and it was easily the best breakfast we've had in Virginia Beach so far. They also offer more American-style dishes if that's what you're looking for. This is lovely and casual place with authentic Turkish food. We had a chicken wrap and falafel platter: both delicious! The falafel were cooked to perfection and were sitting on delightful hummus accompanied by amazing bread. And seeing a sand station dedicated for making authentic Turkish coffee, we had to end the meal with the classic drink! It did not disappoint at all!! Did not need sugar or anything!
The restaurant serves fantastic Mediterranean/Turkish food with great attention to detail. Every aspect of the service shows the care and dedication of the staff, making it clear that they must have a passion for what they do. It's more than just a business serving food - come and experience the difference for yourself. Thank you to the staff for their hard work!
