Whilst walking along rue Chenoise we found Mosaique restaurant and were tempted by the Tunisian pastries displayed in the window. The restaurant was relatively small and cosy with traditional Tunisian decor. The menu was uncomplicated with items being very reasonably priced. The meals were well presented in traditional earthenware, the couscous was delicious and so were the other accompanying dishes. We loved the atmosphere of the place, the friendly owners and the delicious meals and hope to return again soon.
This was our first Tunisian meal and we absolutely devoured it. My son said it was the best carrots he had ever had in his life, and the chicken was the best I’ve ever had. And that’s with eating all over the world. Owners are delightful, and even the patrons went out of their way to buy us desserts so we could try them. We didn’t get the tea, which looked amazing, but definitely would recommend you try it if you go. Which you must!
We have lunched together at the Mosaic Restaurant, specializing in Oriental cuisine. We chose the vegetable couscous, accompanied by mint tea and gazelle horn. All for only 11 euros! We were delighted with our meal, which was hearty, tasty and authentic. The service was fast and warm, and the cozy and pleasant setting. We highly recommend this restaurant, which offers excellent value for money and a great culinary discovery.
We love the cous cous they offer at this restaurant! We have been there couple times and we will go back for sure! Their cous cous it’s delicious! We like the cous cous with the marguese (spicy arabic sheep sausages) and the brochette (beef skewers). The place is small inside but in summer they add 4 tables outside.
