Comfort food that warms you, body and soul. This small, family-owned restaurant is open for lunch Monday-Friday. Plate lunches consist of your choice of entree, two sides, bread, and a drink, for $9.50. Worth every penny. The entrée choices on Wednesday were chicken fried chicken and meatloaf, plus there were daily specials of pulled chicken sandwiches and Louisiana bean soup. There were also three salad variations and several hamburger choices on the menu. The chicken fried chicken was cooked to perfection. Had a wonderful meal with my Cousin, Teddy Field’s at Mother Kelly’s. Excellent customer service, excellent meal! Enjoy meal to the Max 4-squared. Fattened up an Ole country boy from San Francisco now residing in Durham NC. Took the edge off of family prayers for my beautiful 96 year young Angel Cousin, Pearlie Fields who I specifically came to E TX to visit. Plan to eat lunch at same place tomorrow

Best meal we have had our whole vacation. The chicken fried steak was amazing and crispy crispy. The cabbage as a side is a MUST! The only downfall..no buttermilk pie! Staff was super friendly and tea is super good and strong not watery. A great place!

Judge Addison and I had lunch at Mother Kelley’s Home Cooking today and it was excellent! I had the chicken fried chicken and Jeff had a deep fried cheeseburger. Congrats to the cooks! This place is full of great food and beautiful smiles.

The food is wonderful! I've seen this place a hundred times and have no idea why I haven't been in there sooner. Great home-cooked meal for a great price I will definitely return and recommend.
