My Thai Hofheim - Reservar uma mesa

The location is quite good on the pedestrian street of Hofheim. Small tables and seems crowded and saw reasonable reviews so I wanted to try. I realized that multiple of these restaurants in multiple cities so seems to be a standardized concept. The food doesn't taste much of real Thai food maybe a light version of Thai food. Not because it isn't hot but Thai food is flavorful and the combination of texture is important. I ordered a simple panang curry which should be easy to make but received a overcooked veggies with dry chicken in a read sauce missing the coconut flavor and texture (too much water). My son and I we took a meal for take away. When the meal was ready my son said that he is very hungry and wants to eat now. We went out. All tables were free. We sat down. In half a minute came a young lady and asked us to leave as our food was for take away and it damages their image. We have to eat from plates. I said no problem, and kindly asked for a plate. She said that we will not get a plate and we have to leave. SHE SAID SO MANY RUDE WORDS that all people passing by thought that we have done something wrong. My son started to cry.. This restaurant is situated in the charming Old Town (Altstadt of Hofheim in a pleasant and traffic free square. It's about a 10 minute walk from the modern Chinonplatz shopping centre, where there is ample parking. My serving of Pad Thai was generously sized and tasty. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, the staff are friendly... What more could you ask? (Note: You order at the counter, pay, get your cutlery and the food will be brought to your table.

There are always people here, as it provides authentic dishes with good servings. They also have a great cocktail menu, so it is a relaxed place, with good food and drinks. Can't go wrong! The only thing to point out, is the second time eating here, we had takeaway, and upon arriving back to our hotel, realised they did not provide us with rice with our curry, and the curry was watery. The curry (and complimentary) rice, eaten the day before here was brilliant!

I think for the price you pay, the quality is really good. Were can you sit down in a restaurant and eat for approximately 7-8 euros? Service very fast, it takes about 8 min to get your meal. The interior is modern and light. It's a place for young people to go. But actually for everyone: businessmen, students, families, people on their own inbetween their shopping in Hofheim.
