We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. We visited the tea room three times during our trip to Carew Castle and Tidal Mill. Upon arrival, we enjoyed coffee and cake (the staff was very patient and brought our order to our table). For lunch, we had sandwiches (the kids' baguettes were particularly good) and a delicious Welsh rarebit tomato tart. We also got some takeaway coffees before heading home. The staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Despite a mix-up with our lunch order, they were quick to rectify the situation and sincerely apologetic. I feel like my family and I visited a different place compared to all the reviews……..if I was to pick one word to describe my experience it would be disappointed. We ordered various items from the menu and whilst one of the sandwiches was nice the other one was awful dry and tasteless. The cakes were good as was the tea and coffee but the 20 minute wait after our food arrived was ridiculous……I went to the counter twice to be told the drinks had been missed then the second time forgotten poor poor service, I would definitely not return. Save your money and go elsewhere.

We stopped here for drinks on Wednesday 24th April whilst visiting Carew Castle and Tidal Mill. We sat inside as it was a litte cold outside. As we weren’t hungry, we only had cappuchinos which were nice but very overpriced at £3.50 for a medium sized paper cup but it is what it is. There were lots of people there ordering meals which looked very appetising and the staff were very friendly.

Booked the afternoon tea and guided tour of Carew Castle. The afternoon tea was delicious a good selection of sandwiches/savouries and lovely cakes/desserts. Great service by friendly staff. Highly recommended would certainly book again.

Best baquettes I've had for years. Lovely coffee too. Very friendly helpful staff. This is my 3rd visit for lunch and not been disappointed. See you soon
