New Lodge Fisheries

Coming from Bournemouth, where they seem to lack the proper way to prepare fish and chips, I was pleasantly surprised by this meal. The batter was light and crispy, without being greasy or soggy. The squid was thick and generous, and the chips were excellent. The prices were reasonable, especially when compared to those on the south coast. I haven't enjoyed fish and chips this much in years. It's clear they take pride in their offerings!

Nice fish and chip shop, ideally located on the moor, good menu to choose from, plenty of seating in and out, would have given 5 stars but prices just a tad heavy compared to other chip shops locally like king cross fisheries (not mother Hubbard's which is awful), would recommend this place still.

The staff is incredibly friendly, and I find myself returning every week. I tried the fish, and it was cooked to perfection; the chips are always fresh and delicious. I often order the curry and chips as well, and they never disappoint. I highly recommend this place!

We decided, being in the area, that we would dine in with fish and chips. This was a good decision, the quality was very good and we were welcomed by friendly staff, who served us with a lovely lunch. Their excellent reputation is well deserved.

they love the personal and the fish chips are the best. they often go there and they always remember us. highly recommended to turn on here and repair their fish chips. you never want to go anywhere else!
