Nicky V’s Beef, Dogs, And Food Trucks Fka Doug’s Dogs

As I feel that the South suburbs lack any good hot dog stands, this place sets the gold standard. I consider myself a hot dog snob and will travel to get a good hot dog meal. Doug's hot dogs have all the basic toppings and not those bare bone depression style hot dogs. And making it even better, they serve up fresh cut fries. The place is small with limited room to at inside, but there a couple of benches out front for some nice summer outdoor eating. Service is fast and prices and not that bad for what you get. Tip of the day. Watch out for that driveway when you exit off of 159th Street, it is very steep and your front bumper will let you know.

Ordered 2 cheese dogs and 2 chili dogs. I got them and they had ONLY cheese and ONLY chili on them. I have never seen that before. Absolutely no veggies. Is that normal? I wish I had known, but unfortunately it was a grub hub order so I had to take the loss. Fries were soggy and gross. I've eaten there before and it was mediocre, so they get 2 stars. Overall, I will be getting my hotdogs elsewhere from now on. Sorry, not sorry.

Stopped by for a Hot Dog Combo with home cut fries. They offer either beef or pork hot dogs. I love a Chicago dog with the whole garden attached, my previous visits had more plentiful condiments, so this dog was average at best. The french fries were home cut and good for that type of french fry. The interior of the restaurant has been remodeled and is very nicely done featuring a counter with some gaming machines.

The worse experience ever ?!!I ask for a veggie burger ? with no cheese ?They put cheese on it ?I ask them to remake me a burger with no cheese and they made me what’s in the photo ,I’m not sure if it was a race thing or it was I don’t want to remake your food , but I will never go back to this establishment !!! ?!!!!!! First time customer, hot dogs and polish was delicious fresh cut Idaho potatoes fries best on far south side. Great staff and owner they gave us a free ribeye steak sandwich which was unbelievable. I will never be able to ride pass with out stopping again.

We had this truck come out to are grandsons birthday party along with other trucks and my whole family agreed there food and hospitality was the best... Ty guys we will definitely have yoir truck and future party's 10 ? forsure
