Niko Cafe - Reservar mesa

Niko has been one of my favourite restaurants in Bogota for a number of years, where I have been accustomed to go with friends for a quite meal and chat. However, my latest visit was just the opposite. The first thing I noticed on entering was the restauarant had installed a television set, apparately to allow its customers to watch some Spanish football match. This immediately gave the immpresion that Niko had gone down market.The food was up to the usual standard.When it came time to pay, the waiter brought one of those card readers designed to rip off diners using foreign credit cards. I used to be a regular here many years ago and it's great to see the restaurant hasn't changed much. Still great food, service and ambience. I would definitely recommend Niko to anyone that appreciates fine dining in a formal, but relaxed restaurant atmosphere. Our Malbec rose was very enjoyable. We shared a Ceviche of Corvina for our appetizer..a bit pricey but very good. Main courses excellently prepared and very tasty. Finished off with desert of the day, lemon tart with ice cream, very good. I can't fault any of the food we ate. Price acceptable. Shame they didn't thank us on the way out. I like to feel a restaurant appreciates your custom. So why not five stars ? Perhaps next time !

We have come back a few times now to Niko cause we just cannot get enough of the wonderful food. Soups and mains are great, and my wife cannot get enough of the grilled veggie platter. We highly recommend this place. Reserve uma mesa agora

We ordered the salmon ravioli and the risotto with fresh salmon. Both dishes were really tasty. The risotto was top. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I had a very pleasant experience at Niko. I tried the arabic appetizer, the caumembert salad, and the seared tuna. Highly recommended stop in Bogota.
