Nomad - Reservar uma mesa

We ordered the kingfish ceviche, king prawns, pumpkin, ribeye steak and the potatoes in brown butter. For dessert, we had the olive oil sandwich. The food was really tasty, except that to our horror we had found a shard of glass in the kingfish ceviche. The manager assured us that no glass is handled in the kitchen, which led us to guess that maybe it was already on the serving plate to begin with. The restaurant gave us a replacement kingfish ceviche dish which we paid for, and nothing more was offered done to make us feel better about the rather horrifying incident. My family is quite accommodating and not the type to make a fuss but not what we’d expected from a renowned establishment.

Excellent food/dishes, overshadowed by exorbitant wine prices. Wife /I shared entree main course. Spatchcock in Middle East sauce of youghurt superb. Extensive wine list. Very few wines under $100. One wine Ebenezzer from Barossa 2022 priced $2,200. Never heard of winery. Some wines by glass priced 75ml for $20. This 75ml 10% of normal bottle size, means the $20/75ml $200 return on 750ml bottle Nomads packed counter, all tables filled by 7:30, outside pubs packed with drinkers. No notice of inflation cost of living issues!!

We visited as a large group and had a set menu. My dietary requirements were handled superbly and seamlessly. Highlights were the smoked salmon (such a marked smokiness and tender flesh), Hapuka with saffron beurre blanc and wilted greens), carrot hummus with roasted flatbread, roasted enoki mushrooms, stuffed and crumbed green olives. All delicious. Great service. Good selection of Australian wines.

Delicious food. Excellent vibe in the restaurant. Staff were exceptional. We shared the lamb as a main. Tender and juicy. The cocktails were generous and powerful! Excellent wine list.
