I had heard rave reviews from both family and friends about Northstar's food. This was my third and final visit. The menu was quite limited and the quality of the food, service, and ambiance left much to be desired. On my last visit for the fish dish, I requested a spicier sauce but was disappointed with the outcome. Despite the good fish, overall, I was left unimpressed. I regret to say that I will not be returning. I can only give it 1 star as I cannot rate it any lower.
Absolutely beautiful inside, we ordered the wings with the lickin sauce and the wings were cooked too long so they were pretty crispy which I would have been fine with but they didn't have any flavor on them, if not for the blue cheese sauce they wouldn't have been edible. So I'd suggest to the restaurant that they make sure not to over cook their wings and put sauce on them or something so they actually have flavor.
Please understand this is a “ restaurant “ .. not a pop up bar . This is in managements own words ! Very limited menu and they don’t want you to linger and buy drinks . Not a place to meet friends for holiday drinks . Management will limit your time and is more interested in seating families with small children even at 8:30 pm ! Plenty of other local places to spend your money and relax … choose elsewhere!
Not a bad place now that the bar is actually open. They were forcing you to go outside for a long time due to covid. I'm not sure how that makes any difference..... you're still in an enclosed area. Domestic selection is pretty lame. They have a huge amount of overpriced craft beer taps. Their pizza was pretty good. Overall I think it was overpriced, but the bartenders and servers were very friendly.
