M. Doud has apparently sold up to Sam and the restaurant is now rebranded and smartened up a little with some new furniture and a proper menu! M. Doud always used to inform clients in his own charismatic way, by word of mouth, what there was to eat that day, but now there is a fairly simple menu (not that much choice! of daily lunches, including burgers. It seemed very popular the day we went and the outside enclosed seating was pretty full. The lady server was quite stretched to cope and Sam himself had to get stuck in to help. Friendly place where we ate very well, the dish of the day was excellent and the price affordable. The waitress was very nice and the manager gave us good advice on places to visit in Cognac where we were going. Do not hesitate!! Ps: Artop Rooftop ;

Great restaurant! When we arrived at the end of the service, we were always served. And it was delicious! Everyone was nice! Thank you!

Great bistro, well located if you pass quickly on Angouleme. 18 euros full meal, very copied and especially house.
