Ocean7 Restaurant, Aqua Bistro Wine Bar

My wife, I, and our son and daughter-in-law were treated to dinner last night inthe Ocean 7 Restaurant at the Kingfisher Resort Spa. Dinner was served in a dome outside, a feature of the restaurant in winter. (pictured below) Our meals were superb. I had a deconstructed Caesar salad with prosciutto, caper berries and roasted garlic. Just the right amount of tasty dressing. For a main I had a 7oz. tenderloin which was one of the best I have ever had. A minimal amount of sauce made the flavour exquisite. The Green Curry mussels are probably one of the best mussel preps I've had ever. The curry is nicely balanced between flavor, heat and sweetness. The pickled vegetables add a nice contrast without being overpowering. The mussels were also cleaned well. The sausage platter was delicious as well. Focus on in house preparation of the majority of ingredients is evident and I will certainly be coming back here some day to try more.

The appetizers here are all delicious, but if you come for dinner service, don't expect to be stuffed, but definitely be ready for an experience. The two times I have come, the dinner entrées have intrigued and stimulated my senses and made me actually THINK about the food I'm eating. It was just so... Interesting and intricate. It is always so fun to try their new dishes.

The food was delicious and our plate was an absolute art. The server was friendly, caring and informative. Desert was outstanding and the whole package gives you a fine dining experience which worth the high price. My only recommendation is to make sure you get a table outside if it is sunny or at least a table with view.

Beautiful view with a delightful meal. Kelsey, our waitress, was so friendly and attentive. She gave us some recommendations for Campbell River where we were heading to. We had a great time at your restaurant!
