Oka Malaysian & Chinese Cuisine

My partner and I decided to try Oka tonight The decor is modern, clean and bright. We were greeted upon arrival by friendly welcoming staff with big smiles. I opted for a selection of entrees rather than a main meal which were bought to our table promptly. The food was great fresh light and sumptious! My partner had a main of garlic prawns and stir fried vegetables which was a generous serve in fact too generous for him to finish! All meals and drinks are reasonably priced.Frank (I'm guessing the owner) was wonderful, visiting all tables and chatting with patrons whilst serving drinks and making recommendations. I met a friend for dinner at a place that was recommended to me. After quickly checking it out, I returned later for dinner. The menu was fantastic, with lots of flavorful and authentic dishes at very fair prices. The drinks were also very cheap. The staff were cheerful and friendly, especially Chloe who had only been there for a week but was very efficient and happy. I am a big fan of good Asian cuisine, and stumbling upon a place like this felt like finding a small pot of gold. Overall, one of the best places I have eaten at in the Northern Territory (I live in Western Australia) and I will definitely be coming back soon!

This Asian takeaway is the best we have tried in the 17 years we have lived in Palmerston. The food was a bit pricey, but the portions were generous and delicious. We also received a free bag of tasty prawn crackers, which can be difficult to keep crispy in the high humidity of the Northern Territory. The only downside was the fried rice, which is my husband's usual favorite dish. Overall, the food was well-prepared. If they start offering delivery, they will definitely earn a 5-star rating!

Have had take away for one and also for a group of 22. Food is unfailingly fresh, prepared with respect for all ingredients and real authentic flavours. Satay has just the right amount of bite with rich peanut sauce and vegetables are crisp and of the highest quality. I'm looking forward to trying the special lunch which is on offer on the weekend. We ordered salt pepper squid , fried rice and beef and they were all very tasty.Not too spicy for those who don't like hot foods.The place was clean and they have indoor and outdoor seating areas.Being Sunday night , the service wasn't all that great and we had to wait for them to clean our table.But overall it was a good experience and would go back there again.

I recently tried the chicken and sweet corn soup from OKA and, while it didn't quite measure up to my mum's recipe, it was fresh and served promptly. I have ordered takeout from OKA a few times before and have also eaten in their restaurant, and each time the food has been delicious. The owner is quite funny and enjoys sharing jokes and laughs with customers.

My disappointment realising that this restaurant was overlooking a shopping complex car park evaporated as soon as I walked in to its chic Melbourne like decor! Sublime regional fresh produce, Uber friendly accomodating staff & meeting the delightful owner on completion of a yummy meal makes this a 5 star venue for the lucky Palmerstons!

Decided since we had a kid-free night we'd try a new place. We weren't disappointed. I had my favourite Malaysian dish Hainanese Chicken Rice and hubby had BBQ pork in plum sauce. Superb! Excellent service and a very warm welcome as soon as you enter, great menu selections and a well set out restaurant. Noodle meals are a decent serving size and very flavoursome. Very highly recommended!

Nice decor, funny, friendly service. Food ok, nothing to rave about. Enjoyed what we had but have had better. Been there done that.
