Oriental Chef - Reservar mesa

So I've been going to Oriental Chef for a good few years now but I wouldn't say I'm a regular, using them perhaps twice a year at most as a treat. Today I used their website to book my order for the first time and opted for delivery, I didn't have any problems selecting my order at all. My only improvement I would suggest for the website is giving you an idea of delivery time before you order as currently you have no idea what time your delivery will be until after you've paid and get emailed so it feels like a bit of a lottery. As it happens I booked just gone 17:00, got an email saying my delivery would be expected by 18:06 if not sooner which was fine and it actually turned up about 17:40...

I have been a regular customer of this Chinese takeout restaurant for a few years now, but last night we decided to order from here for my wife's birthday. We had a large order for our family and friends, totaling £186. I chose to pick up the order due to the long delivery time on a Friday night. When I arrived 20 minutes later, the food was already prepared and the staff helped me to my car with the numerous bags. The young man at the front counter was very helpful and polite. The meal was delicious, with every dish being tasty and cooked perfectly. Even my mother-in-law, who does not usually enjoy Chinese food, went back for seconds. Having been recommended we thought we would try on Fathers Day, wished we had not bothered,phoned our order and told up to hour and half wait, thought OK busy, when order arrived over 2 hours. No bottle of pop for spending over £40 and the wrong rice dish, when we rang the store very argumentative and aggressive, no apology but did say would pay back for rice dishes, but food was just warm and don't advertise something if you don't do it, won't be ordering again as they appear not to want your orders or the managers don't care, a shame.

Seriously don’t bother. Placed a £70 order at 5:30 and told it would be an hour. Finally turned up at 8! The delivery person (apparently the boss) was rude and not apologetic at all. Then to make things worse one of the main dishes was missing. We were promised a call back and explanation but received no call. Were promised a 20% refund and didn’t get that either. No way to run a business as we will tell all family and friends to steer well clear. Reserve uma mesa agora

I am disappointed with the decline of this once excellent takeaway and delivery service. I placed an order at 17:11 and it did not arrive until 19:30. When I called to inquire about my order, I was informed that it was waiting for the driver. This is unacceptable and the manager needs to address this issue promptly. I miss the previous owners and their efficient service.

It has taken me 30 minutes to get through I understand they are busy) I finally get through to be told can you hold the line to be cut off. Tried another 20 minutes gave up. Won't be using them again

The wait for food was lengthy, a dish was missing, and the quality of the food was poor. Overall, very disappointed. I would recommend going somewhere else. It's not worth the wait.

Not sure why there are bad reviews. Use this place all the time and it is lovely. I don't have a bad word to say about it. Reserve uma mesa agora

missing food low quality and no prawn crackers for a order over £20 don't bother i would rather make my own!
